NJ ADVANCE MEDIA, NJ.COM, JERSEYS BEST & ADVANCE LOCAL

CHALLENGE:

NJ Advance Media is one of the largest digital news and marketing agencies in the region, delivering content through NJ.com, and affiliated publications. As a member of the creative team, I was tasked with producing fast-turnaround visuals for both editorial and commercial purposes—balancing strong journalistic standards with modern visual storytelling.

In a fast-paced newsroom and ad studio environment, NJ Advance Media faced several core challenges:
 

  • High Volume, High Velocity: The team had to deliver professional-grade graphics and media for breaking news, special editorial projects, and hundreds of client campaigns—often with same-day turnarounds.
     

  • Creative Versatility: The audience ranged from news readers to small businesses to major sponsors—each requiring a different design tone, from serious reporting to playful promotional content.
     

  • Cross-Platform Consistency: Designs had to translate seamlessly across digital (web, social, email), print (newspaper, inserts), and video platforms.
     

  • Ad Performance Pressure: Sponsored and paid media needed to meet campaign objectives—whether it was impressions, click-through rates, or conversions.
